Handling of microtiter plates with standard robot arms is often carried using standard industrial grippers that are not designed to handle MTPs. Moreover, a standardized force and width is not well suited to proper handling of microtiter plates in the lab with the required fine placement.

Safe handling of microplates

The lab-hand enables your laboratory robot to grip microplates safely and securely with specialized gripper fingers. You can comfortably use it in landscape or portrait mode.

Fine processes like lidding and delidding may be performed by the lab-hand without using a separate automated delidding-station.

User configuration errors such as missing or misplaced plates or collisions are detected by the lab-hand and reported to the robot system. This allows safe execution of laboratory automation tasks.
